Hello guys, I'm your host JD and Welcome to JD's Book Journey...

Today we'll see, How one popular blogger shook the whole book reader community with one of his self-help guides and how he changed lots of people’s views by his latest book, and what’s so special about this book. And that blogger is none other than “Mark Manson”.

And, The book’s name is “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck”. It is a non-fiction self-help book by Mark Manson.

Firstly, We’ll talk about Mark Manson and after that, we’ll talk about his gem.

Mark Manson

Mark Manson is An Author and Successful Blogger. He grew up in Austin, Texas and graduated from Boston University in 2007. He was only a blogger in his initial days, not an author. He published his first blog in 2007 and wrote about his party life and dating life.

But, he took writing seriously in 2010 and after that, he made a career in the writing field. And now we all know that how his writing style is different from others.

Some of his works,

“The subtle art of not giving a f*ck” and “Everything is f*cked” both book managed to gain the title of “Best-seller Books”.

Recently, He published one Audiobook named “Love is Not Enough” on audible.

He is quite famous for his writing style and his writing content.

Now, Let’s talk about the book.

About the book "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck"

We always hear this one crap “be positive and everything will be alright”. But what if there’s nothing to be positive like someone’s funeral or someone lost his entire earning, so basically we can’t be positive all the time.

This book is a perfect example of the different perspective of our view towards life, And how he contradicts this approach.

“Let’s be honest, shit is F*cked and we have to live with it,” he wrote this on his blog along with “F*ck positivity”

Manson makes the argument, backed both by academic research and his jokes, that improving our lives hinges not on our ability to turn lemons into lemonade, but on learning to stomach lemons better.

So in my opinion, If you want to see different perspective of life then you must have to read this book.

Some of my favorite lines from the book,

“Not everybody can be extraordinary, there are winners and losers in society and some of it is not fair or your fault.”

“The more something threatens your identity, the more you will avoid it.”

“If you want to change how you see your problems, you have to change what you value and/or how you measure failure/success.”

“Being wrong opens us up to the possibility of change. Being wrong brings the opportunity for growth.”

“We are defined by what we choose to reject. And if we reject nothing we essentially have no identity at all”

I’ve completed one more book of Mark Manson and I’ll write about it soon, so stay tuned on this blog or subscribe to my blog for more updates.

Till then, bye-bye…
